3261720 - Error: Release of UK VAT Return: sap.b.controller.event.PostRequest

Cannot release VAT Return for country GB/UK due to the following error:

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Tax Management work center.
2. Go to the Tax Returns view.
3. Go to the VAT Returns subview.
4. Select VAT Return ABC (ABC is the VAT Return ID) for country GB/ UK.
5. Click Release.

The error is

Huge amount of data in the return

There are multiple ways in which the issue can be handled:

1. Release the return in background.

• Go to the Tax Management work center.
• Go to the Tax Returns view.
• Go to the VAT Returns subview.
• Select VAT Return ABC
• Click View.
• Click You can Also and select Release in Background.

The activity would schedule a job in background. The job will execute and release the return.

2. Use Aggregation Run (preffered solution).

• In case release in background does not work, you can use the aggregation run functionality that creates multiple returns for the same run, one after the other to avoid huge data in a single return. For more information refer to the Blog Aggregation Tax Returns in SAP Business ByDesign .

Aggregation run for UK VAT has been provided with 2205 and has been adjusted for MTD submission, the form preview on last return generated in chain of returns will show the aggregated value that will be submitted via the MTD.
