Symptom
When creating a business rule with base model 'Compensation Information', you cannot find the "Get Pay Range Attributes()" and "Get Pay Range by Position()"
Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central
Reproducing the Issue
1) Go to configure business rules;
2) Add new 'basic' business rule with base model compensation information.
3) For instance, create a new variable called pay range.
4) In the select expression I can't find Get Pay Ranges Attributes (). Typing it out or scrolling where you'd expect to find it alphabetically, it doesn't deliver any hits.
Cause
It's an expected behavior, because the 'Enable Position Management' setting is disabled in Provisioning
Resolution
Go to Provisioning > Company Settings > Tick the box 'Enable Position Management — requires “Employee Central V2 (i.e., Event Reason Derivation)”, “Enable Generic Objects”, “Effective Dated Data Platform”, “Employee Profile data audit” and “Enable the Attachment Manager”'
