3261782 - Launch Teams Meeting Is Greyed Out

Symptom

Launch Teams Meeting option in appointment is greyed out.

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Activities Work center.
  2. Open Appointments View.
  3. Click on + to create a new appointment.
  4. Make sure that the Microsoft Teams Collaboration option is selected and create the appointment.
  5. Save and open.
  6. In the header section, it is possible to see that Launch Teams Meeting option is greyed out.

Resolution

1. Make sure that "Do you want to enable Microsoft Teams integration?" is marked in scoping as per below steps:

  1. Go to Business Configuration.
  2. Enter Implementation Projects.
  3. Select your project and navigate to Edit Project Scope.
  4. Navigate to Questions.
  5. Under Sales, expand the Account and Activity Management.
  6. Select Activity Management and mark the question "Do you want to enable Microsoft Teams integration?".

2. Perform the consent for Microsoft Teams integration as per below steps:

  1. Ensure that you have the Microsoft Office 365 exchange online license.
  2. Navigate to Administrator Work center.
  3. Enter General Settings.
  4. Under Microsoft Teams, click on Enable Microsoft Teams integration.
  5. Choose any of the permission types (User Delegation or Application Delegation) and click Confirm.
  6. This redirects to the Microsoft Teams authentication page.
  7. Sign in with your Microsoft 365 username and password.
  8. A new window opens for consent.
  9. In the case of User Delegation permission type, the administrator has to select the checkbox "Consent on behalf of your organization" available at the end of all the permissions listed.
  10. Click Accept.

3. Ensure that your administrator has maintained your Microsoft Teams e-mail address in the employee details. If not, add the email address by performing the following steps.

  1. Go to Administrator Work center.
  2. Enter Employee's View.
  3. Select affected employee and click Edit.
  4. Update the email address and click Save.
  5. The same email ID must also be a part of your Microsoft Azure active directory.

4. Create the appointment with at least one attendee that has a valid email address.

5. Confirm if the domain of the admin user who provided consent (e.g., abc@xxx.com) must match the domain of the meeting organizer (e.g., xyz@xxx.com). Please ensure that both users belong to the same domain and then try the scenario again. 

Note: Please ensure that there is the Microsoft Office 365 exchange online license available, and it is being used online exchange server. In case using on-premise or hybrid exchange server, it is not supported and will not work.
