3261895 - Connection Does not Show Objects in Data Flow Editor - SLT - SAP LT Replication Server

Symptom

Successfully configured an ABAP connection to Datasphere but when you try to use it to create a Data Flow, there are no visible objects under the "SLT - SAP LT Replication Server" Folder

Environment

  • SAP Datasphere

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create a Connection to an ABAP system
    • Validate the connection and if there is no errors, proceed with the next step
  2. Go to Data Builder
  3. Create a new Data Flow
  4. In the left panel switch from "Repository" to "Sources"
  5. Expand the connections folder
  6. Expand the ABAP connection folder
  7. Try to expand the "SLT - SAP LT Replication Server" folder
    • No object gets displayed

Cause

  • The SLT configuration has not been done properly, which prevents the browse for ABAP tables.
  • The necessary notes with regards to Datasphere has not been implemented in the system.

Resolution

  • Check if the configuration has been done as per Creating a Configuration . For Dataflows a scenario "Data Flows / Generation 1 Operators" is needed in the LTRC configuration. 
  • Check KBA 3498095 - How to check SAP Datasphere notes requirements on S4HANA On-premise systems on how to check if all the necessary notes are present in the system.
