3261922 - Error BP_DATAREPL_FND 009 - Business Partner's address key mapping inconsistent for sender keys / External Address ID already used for Business Partner Guid

Replication of Business Partner data to the SAP S/4 HANA system fails with the following error:

External Address ID already used for Business Partner GUID

Note: The error message BP_DATAREPL_FND009 has been updated to:

Business Partner's address key mapping inconsistent for sender keys

The issue is caused by an unsupported 1:N relationship between addresses in the address key mapping. The following sequence of events leads to this inconsistency:

1. A Business Partner is replicated from MDG (Master Data Governance) to a client system.
2. In the client system, a duplicate of the Business Partner is created and replicated back to MDG.
3. During the MDG consolidation process, the original and duplicate Business Partners are merged. However, their respective addresses are not merged, leading to inconsistent address key mappings.
4. When attempting to replicate the merged Business Partner back to the client system, the replication fails with the error:
