3262030 - Correct Record is not Displayed When Clicking on the Hyperlink

Symptom

In the Manage Workforce app, upon trying to open the Employee Business Partner record, the system does not take you to the correct Business Partner record in the Maintain Business Partner app. Instead, it takes you to whatever your last selection parameters were in the Maintain Business Partner app.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the app Manage Workforce
  2. Choose the required filters
  3. Select Go
  4. In the result list, click on the Business Partner ID which would take you to the Employee Business Partner record
  5. You are taken to the Business Partner transaction Maintain Business Partner where the system displays whatever your last selection parameters were in the Maintain Business Partner app

Cause

This is due to the personalization settings that have been maintained for the Business Partner Locator in Maintain Business Partner app.

Resolution

Change the personalization settings to Narrow using the below steps in on the application toolbar in Maintain Business Partner app and it will display the Business Partner directly when the Employee Business Partner record is clicked. 

  1. Go to the app Maintain Business Partner
  2. Select the button Settings in the application toolbar
  3. In the General tab, in the Locator section, select the radio button for Narrow
  4. Select Enter

  1. Go to the app Maintain Business Partner
  2. Select the drop-down for Menu
  3. Select Extras->Settings
  4. In the General tab, in the Locator section, select the radio button for Narrow
  5. Select Enter
