3262681 - Interval error while creating a new number ranger for billing documents

Customer receives an error when creates a new number range for billing documents: "Interval X, prefix overlaps with interval Y, prefix".

S/4HANA Cloud

1. Go to SSCUI/Business Configuration "Define Number Ranges for Billing Documents".
2. Then click on 'intervals' and add a custom one. 
3. When you click in 'save' button an error message appears: "Interval X, prefix overlaps with interval Y, prefix".

Customer is trying to creating a new interval which will overlaps with another one.

To avoid such error message, we recommend to customers either use a new range status. Or in case you want to use the same range status, please use a prefix in front of the new number range.
