Symptom

  • The Edge Services SQL Anywhere service fails to start with an unknown error.
  • The server log shows the following:
    I. 10/28 10:09:09.     TCPIP link started successfully
    E. 10/28 10:09:10. '<path>\SAAP-SQL\com.sap.dep.sql\sqlanywhere/certificate/id.pem' contains an expired certificate
    I. 10/28 10:09:10. Database server shutdown due to startup error
