3264838 - Incorrect dates on Candidate Review Date field - Recruiting Management

In implementation handbook, Candidate Review Date and Application Date are defined as below. However in report, these date pulls same date/time stamp. Sometimes Candidate Review Date is before the Application Date.

1. Create an Ad Hoc Report
2. Include the fields Candidate Review Date and Application Date
3. Notice that dates in these fields have the same value or Candidate Review Date is before Application Date

Definition of these dates in implementation handbook needs to be updated.

According to Engineering, below should be the behavior of these fields:

CANDIDATE_REVIEW_DATE: This date will be generated once either candidate started drafting a job application through internal/external career site OR originator forward (new application) candidate to a job.

APPLICATION_DATE: This date will be generated once candidate applied to a job. However, this date is also generated once candidate started drafting an application BUT it will be set to current date once candidate applied to the job.

Based in the behavior clarified by Engineering, it is possible that Candidate Review Date is the same with Application Date. It is also possible that Candidate Review Date is before the Application Date.

Example 1:

1. In external career, candidate open a job requisition, completed the application and submitted it (Date: September 1, 2024). In this scenario, Candidate Review Date and Application Date will have same value:
   • Candidate Review Date: September 1, 2024 17:00:00
   • Application Date: September 1, 2024 17:00:00

Example 2:

1. In external career, candidate open a job requisition, started drafting, and the saved the application (Date: September 1, 2024). Here, Candidate Review Date will be Sep 1. Although application is not yet submitted, the Application Date will have the same date instead of blank or empty.
   • Candidate Review Date: September 1, 2024 17:00:00
   • Application Date: September 1, 2024 17:00:00
2. Then on September 5th, candidate went to the saved application and submitted it. This will cause the Application Date to be updated since the candidate has now applied.
   • Candidate Review Date: September 1, 2024 17:00:00
   • Application Date: September 5, 2024 10:00:00
3. Recruiter searched for the candidate on September 10th and forwarded it to another requisition. Here, the Candidate Review Date will change:
   • Candidate Review Date: September 10, 2024 14:00:00
   • Application Date: September 5, 2024 10:00:00

If you wish to pull the date when the application was first viewed by an operator, you may use the Snapshot Date instead.
