3265030 - Parent Category ID is Incorrect in the Customer Contract Volume Report

A product ABC is assigned to product category XXX01 which belongs to parent category XXX.

The Customer Contract Volume Report shows the product and its product category as well as the parent category ID. However for some of the contracts, the product ABC is displayed with the parent category ID YYY instead of XXX.

• ABC represents the ID of a product.
• XXX, XXX01,YYY represents the ID of product category.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Business analytics work center.
2. Go to the Design Report view.
3. Search for Customer Contract Volume report and open it.
4. In view section, show the row fields: Product Category and Parent Category ID.

In the Customer Contract Volume report, it is possible to see: the product ABC, Parent Category ID=YYY, however it is expected the parent category to be displayed as XXX as defined in the product catalog.

A change for the product ABC was performed in order to alter the product category from YYY01 to XXX01 on DD.MM.YYYY. (for example 01.10.2022)

The contracts in this case were created before the change, where the product category was YYY01 and parent category ID was YYY at that time.

The information in the report is correct, as the change will only apply to new documents created after the change.
