3265093 - Error Message "Activity is Read-Only; Settings Cannot be Changed" While Editing Activity Email and Fax Settings

In the Business Configuration overview, when you try to edit an activity Email and Fax Settings, system throws the below message:

 "Activity is read-only; settings cannot be changed"

SAP Business  ByDesign

1. Go to Business Configuration work center.
2. Access the Overview view.
3. Search for the activity Email and Fax Settings .
4. Click the Edit .
5. You see the message " Activity is read-only; settings cannot be changed"

The message might be displayed due to one of the below reasons:

• You do not have an open project (with status Started) on your tenant.
• The activity in question is not added to any project.

If there is an Open Project (with status Started) on your tenant and if activity in question is added to any project follow below steps

1. Go to Business Configuration work center.
2. Access the Overview view.
3. Search for the activity Email and Fax Settings and select option button .
4. Click on Change Immediately.
5. Click on Email and Fax Settings

Now you can edit the activity.
