Symptom
You are using standard SuccessFactors - Fieldglass Integration and have created a business rule for managers not to be able to create job requisitions in Fieldglass for non contingent worker positions.
Example Rule:
'If Position Employee Class is equal to Contingent Worker then Map Company, Country, Position Start Date from EC to Fieldglass. Else raise error message Position Not relevant to XRM.'
You do not receive error message and notice Managers are able to create a job requisition for non contingent workers.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors
SAP Fieldglass
Cause
The legacy design for creation of job requisition in Fieldglass from EC position was based on business rules which is no longer supported. In the current design based on Position OData API, all the fields under position object are send to FG and the mapping between EC position and Job Requisition happens in FG side.
In the standard functionality offered by EC Position Management, we do not have any differentiation between position for internal and external worker. A position can have multiple incumbents with both internal and external workers. Also after a position becomes vacant due to termination of external worker, then it should be possible to assign this position to another internal worker and vice-versa.
Resolution
This is current expected standard behavior. The functionality cannot be achieved by error message configuration in business rule based on Employee Class.
We would ask you to create an enhancement request in Influence tool if this is a business requirement that would benefit you to raise a requirement for a standard functionality to distinguish between position of internal and external worker.
