3267502 - Activation of Landed Costs in SAP Business ByDesign Version 2211

The Landed Costs feature is made available with SAP Business ByDesign Version 2211.

You notice that related scoping question cannot be selected and therefore the Landed Costs solution cannot be activated in your system.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Business Configuration Work Center - Implementation Projects view.
2. Highlight First Implementation and click on Edit Project Scope.
3. Press Next until Tab 4-Questions.
4. Expand Scoping Element Purchasing.
5. Expand node Purchase Request and Order Management.
6. Select on Purchase Orders.
7. The scoping question "Do you want to plan landed costs in purchase orders" is greyed out and cannot be activated.

Actual Costing has been enabled in this system.

1. Edit Project Scope.
2. Press Next until tab 3 - Scoping.
3. Expand Scoping Element Financial and Management Accounting.
4. Expand node Inventory Valuation.
5. Actual Costing is selected.

As a cautionary measure it has been decided not to run the Actual Costing and Landed Cost framework in parallel at this point in time with the 2211 Upgrade.

Both Scoping Elements therefore are mutual exclusive. Conversely, when the new Landed Cost feature is scoped an activation of Actual Costing is not supported at the moment.

• 7    Known limitations

We are planning to release the Landed Costs functionality in parallel with Actual Costing in a next hotfix collection.

The prospective time-frame is mid December 2022, subject to technical changes.
