3267899 - Fail to Confirm Not Started Production Task as Planned

For a not started production task, click button Confirm as Planned, error triggered:

"Error while executing action
-----> Action failed
----------> Execution of action not permitted
---------------> Action not permitted; confirmations already exist for confirmation group
Save failed"

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to work center Production Control.
2. Open view Production Orders - By Order Header.
3. Select in-preperation production order ABC (ABC represents production order ID), click Edit.
4. Select tab Products, select sub tab Input Products, change logistics area for any input products.
5. Click Release.
6. Go to work center Production Control.
7. Open view Task Control
8. Find production task DEF (DEF represents production task ID) of production order ABC, click button Confirm as Planned. Error triggered:

"Error while executing action
-----> Action failed
----------> Execution of action not permitted
---------------> Action not permitted; confirmations already exist for confirmation group
Save failed"

Since you release production order before saving your changes, system will firstly release the production order to create the production lot and then the changes in the logistic area apply to both production lot and production order. This action of automatic saving after the release is updating the production order and production lot for the logistic area and this in turn makes the production confirmation into started status.

After changes made in production order, please firstly click Save and then click Release.
