3268539 - Position to Job information synchronization is not happening on certain effective date(s)

When there is a change in a position (via Manage Positions), this change is not synced to incumbents who were assigned the position at a later effective date.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

1. An incumbent is assigned to position on a particular date in Job Information History record.
2. Make a change in the incumbent's position (via Manage Positions) for a past date before the incumbent is not assigned.
3. Position record will be updated in Manage Positions with the effective date chosen.
4. The Position to Job Information Sync does not update or create a Job Information record before the record where user is assigned the position.

• Position to Job Information Sync will only occur if there is an active incumbent is assigned in Job Information at the effective date in question.
• If the position does not have an incumbent at effective date of position change, no sync will occur.

• When making a change to a position on a certain effective date:

1. Go to the Position Org Chart.
2. Filter on the position where you are making the change.
3. On the top right, enter the same date where you are about to make the change for.
4. Ensure there is an incumbent assigned on this date.
5. Re-create the record on the position on this date now that it is known an incumbent is assigned on this date.
6. Position to Job Information sync will now create/update a Job Information record on this date for the assigned incumbent.
