3268634 - Production Order is in Status Released Instead of In Preparation.

You create a production order directly by using the new common task New Production Order in the Production Control work center.  You create a new production order by  entering the product, site, quantity, and requested end date.

You click Save, it automatically releases the Order and creates a Production Task. You expect the status of Production Order to be In Preparation.

SAP Business ByDesign.

1. Go to the Production Control work center.
2. Go to the New Production Order view.
3. Add a Product, Site and Quantity.
4. Click Save.
5. Go to the Production Orders View.
6. Search for the newly created Production Order.
7. You will see that the newly created Production Order is in Status Released instead of In Preparation.

You have the Business Configuration setting "Default Production Order Release Strategy" set to automatic.

This automatically releases any production order when it is created.

You need to change the Business Configuration Setting "Default Production Order Release Strategy" from "Automatic release of production order" to "B010 - Manual release of production order".

1. Go to the Business Configuration work center.
2. Go to the Overview view.
3. Select the Production Order Release Strategy activity.
4. Click Set the default production order release strategy.
5. Change Code from A010 - Automatic release of production order to B010 - Manual release of production order.
