3269381 - Budget Planning Upload Error

You upload budget planning data and receive the below messages.

Error message: Profit center XXX (Name) is not valid for company ABC on dd.mm.yyyy
Warning message: Fix errors and submit data again.

XXX stands for the profit center ID.
ABC stands for the company ID.
dd.mm.yyyy is the date of the upload.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Cost and Revenue work center.
2. Go to the Planning view.
3. Select New > Plan Version from Microsoft Excel.
4. Select Template Name (for example): "New Expense and Income Statement Plan.
5. Select Download.
6. Fill in all the required data.
7. From the SAP Business ByDesign tab, log into the system.
8. Press Save Data To.

Below messages appear:

Error message: Profit center XXX (Name) is not valid for company ABC on dd.mm.yyyy
Warning message: Fix errors and submit data again.

The org unit XXX is not valid as a profit center for the entirety of the year.

You can check this in the Organizational Management work center / Org Structures view.

For example in this case, the Org Unit XXX has been set as a profit center during or later in the year for example from the date 15.07.2022.

The Org Unit XXX must be valid as a profit center for the entirety of the year.
Either you change the time line of profit center XXX to begin in January. Or you change the profit center XXX in the plan for a profit center that is valid for the whole year.
