3270308 - Replacement of Google Universal Analytics for Career Sites - Recruiting Marketing

Symptom

Google has replaced Universal Analytics with Google Analytics 4. Career Site Builder administers should update their configuration settings.
All standard Universal Analytics properties stopped processing new data as of July 1, 2023.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Marketing

Resolution

Career Site Builder has a Google Analytics 4 ID field, in Settings > Site Configuration >  Site Information. After you configure your Google Analytics 4 account, you can enter this account's identification number in the new field. Doing so ensures that new data continue to be processed for your career site after Google retires Universal Analytics on July 1, 2023.

Additional details:

Career Site Builder automatically starts using the value in Google Analytics 4 ID as soon as you add it, even before you remove the old ID from the Google Analytics (Universal Analytics) ID field.

No error are generated in CSB since July 1, 2023 even if you keep the existing ID in Google Analytics (Universal Analytics) ID without providing a new ID in the new Google Analytics 4 ID field. You simply stop getting new analytics data.

If you included Google Analytics in the Advertising Cookies Section of your career site's cookie manager, you don't need to make any changes. Google Analytics 4 recognizes the value of Google Analytics in the cookie manager, which you configured in Appearance > Global > Cookie Manager.

Google Analytics 4 has replaced Universal Analytics
