You see few Hanging Messages to and From SAP in Business Communication Monitoring

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Application and User Management work center.
  2. Open the Business Communication Monitoring view. 
  3. Select messages xchnages with SAP- Messages if any will be displayed                                                                                            


This situation usually Occurs due to temporary down time of the SAP system


Please execute re-start button for the hanging messages

1) Do those messages appear regularly?

-> The messages will be in "long running" status because there was temporary down time of the SAP system.This could happen if the similar situation happens in future.

 2) Does manual re-start works?

-> Though the status shows "long running" , the messages were actually delivered on the last status change on date shown in the UI. You can try Re-start.

3) Any recommended way how to handle these Messages?

 Sometimes there could be inconsistencies between the status shown in the UI and the actual status in the backend. If the re-start from the UI doesn't work, we would recommend to report an incident.
