3271547 - Deleted Input Product Still Exists in Released Planning/ Execution Model

Symptom

You delete input product XXX in Production Bill of Material (BoM) and re-released the Planning and Execution Model for Corresponding Production Model YYY.

However, you find the deleted input product XXX still exists in the released planning and execution model.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to Planning and Production Master Data Work Center.
  2. Go to Production Models View.
  3. Search for Production Model YYY.
  4. Choose Edit.
  5. Choose Open Released Planning Model button or Open Released Execution Model button.
  6. Select the Released Planning/ Execution Model Version after re-release.
  7. Go to Products - Input Products Sub-tab.

You note that the deleted input product XXX still exists in the released planning/ execution model.

Cause

During deleting the input product XXX in the BoM, you not only click the delete button, but also uncheck the BoM Variant used in the production model YYY.

Resolution

You need to make sure the BoM Variant is scoped for the deleted input product XXX in the BoM.

Please scope it and release the Planning and Execution Model again.
