When trying to delete the Hire record from History UI or via import of Job information, Error appears : "Job Information: The Job Information hire record can’t be deleted. Instead, if the hire event is no longer valid, use the no-show feature or terminate the employment. "

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

• Go to User's Job Information Section in the Employee Profile.
• Click on History -> Select Hire record -> Click Delete.
• Pop up appears to confirm the Delete history record for Job Information -> Click Delete.
• Error appears: Job Information: The Job Information hire record can’t be deleted. Instead, if the hire event is no longer valid, use the no-show feature or terminate the employment.  

Due to Centralized services Data Validation for Job Information which is enhanced to improve data quality.

This is an Expected behavior. View: Data Validation for Job Information (MSS and History UI)

As long as an EC user exists, they need to have one HIRE record.

Based on what exactly customer wants to achieve, we need to use appropriate transaction for the same.

Examples:

1)If the hire record has an incorrect start date

This can be changed via the Hire Date Correction tool.

2)Changes to any other fields including the event reason can be made via the History or full purge import.
