3271956 - Error "Acquisition value will become negative in depreciation area &" is received in AUC Settlement - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

In App Run Settlement Actual (F4568) the following error is received:

"Acquisition value will become negative in depreciation area &"

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Open App Run Settlement - Actual (F4568)

2. Select WBS element

3. Select Test Run

4. Enter Parameters

5. Click Test Run

6. Error is received: "Acquisition value will become negative in depreciation area &"

The asset class has the characteristics of an AuC class which means no concurrent negative acquisition and production costs are allowed in the areas. If the down payment clearing or any credit posting is posted before the actual receipt, the acquisition value can go temporarily negative, and the above error message is issued during the next posting run.

Asset class for AUC needs to be set with Negative Values Allowed flag.

This can be done as per the following:

1. For an existing asset:

In App Manage Fixed Asset go to Display Valuation / Additional Parameters tab and set Negative Value Allowed

2. General setting for an asset class:

In Configuration Activity (SSCUI) Specify Valuation Views for Asset Class flag Column Negative Values Allowed
