3272968 - Error when replacing Team Member in Project

In Project, when selecting "Replace" button to replace a team member, this error message appears:

"Team member has recorded time to the project and cannot be replaced".

SAP Business Bydesign

1. Go to Project Management work center
2. Go to Projects view
3. Search and Open Project ABC
4. Navigate to Team and Staffing tab
5. Go to Teams subtab
6. Select the Team Member XYZ
7. Replace

Error message appears.

If you select "Staff by Team Member" under the view "Team and Staffing" you will see that Team Member XYZ already recorded actual work for the project ABC - this is the reason why they cannot be removed.

 This is expected system behaviour.
