Symptom
You have maintained the revision level for the product in the material master. When you create a production order for the product by converting a planned order, however, the revision level information is not copied into the production order automatically. The master data has to be read again to get it in.
Environment
SAP S/4HANA Cloud all version
Cause
The revision level is linked with master data and there is no revision level information in planned orders. When a planned order is converted to a production order, there is no reading of master data by default and the system copies the data from planned order only. As a result, there is no revision level information in the production order and you need to get it by rereading the master data.
Resolution
You can use the SSCUI 102431 - Define Order-Type-Dependent Parameters for Production Orders to make the revision level to be read automatically, by setting the "BOM Explosion" indicator as "2 - Read with Newly Determined Explosion Date". In this way, the system will reread the master data for certain type of order in certain plant while converting the planned order to the production order.
