3273106 - How to Rename Custom Object on the Enterprise Search

When opening the Enterprise Search, you can see technical name of a custom business object you created (e.g. ZBusinessObject, Z_Business_Object). You would like to rename it to facilitate users reading.

• SAP Cloud for Customer
• SAP Cloud Applications Studio 

1. Go to Enterprise Search.
2. Click on Dropdown of Categories.
3. You can see technical name of custom business object (e.g. ZBusinessObject, Z_Business_Object).

The Enterprise Search shows technical name of custom business object by standard.

It is not possible to rename it through UI Designer. You can rename it through Language Adaptation by collecting texts of 'Enterprise Search Categories [/EnterpriseSearchCategories]' work center. You can follow these steps:

1. Go to Administrator work center.
2. Create a New.
3. Select  'Enterprise Search Categories [/EnterpriseSearchCategories]' work center.
4. Select UI Texts.
5. Click to Collect Texts.
6. Go to UI Texts.
7. On Source Text columns, search by technical name of custom object (e.g. ZBusinessObject, Z_Business_Object).
8. Translate it on Target Text column.
9. Save it

Then, when opening the Enterprise Search, you will be able to see recently translated texts.
