Symptom
When using Location object, the State field is being displayed as a number instead of the two letter code.
Environment
- SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Marketing
- SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management
Reproducing the Issue
- Access the RMK website
- Click on Search Jobs
- You will see some jobs posted that have a number instead of the two-letter code for the State
Cause
This happens when the field type is set as Derived. When the State field has this type, this means it was configured under Setup Job Board Options in the instance. For this reason, RMK will not receive the full name, it will receive only the ISO codes in number and currently, RMK does not support a numeric ISO Code (ISO 3166) for conversion.
Resolution
There are two possible workarounds:
- You can use a picklist field type in RCM for the State/Province field
- You can use the Multi-Location feature, which will use a Foundation Object in the Location field. If you'd like to have more information on this feature, please refer to the following article: 2652937 - Multi-location Job Posting Feature in SuccessFactors Recruiting
