3274063 - Remaining Quantity not updating after Manual Change in Project

In Project, in "Material" subtab, you have maintained a manual change to a material's remaining stock.

However, when you create a Project Stock Order, deliver and consume this material, the remaining quantity value does not decrease.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Project Management work center.
2. Go to Projects view.
3. Search and Open Project ABC.
4. In Project Plan tab, under Gantt Chart subtab, select the project task for which you want to create a Project Stock Order.
5. Navigate to Materials subtab.

Notice you can see a blue arrow which indicates a manual change has been done.

However, each Project Stock Order created, delivered and consumed thereafter does not change the value manually maintained in the "Remaining Quantity" field.

A manual overwrite will remain in the field "Remaining Quantity" regardless of material delivery and consumption.

This is expected system behaviour in the current version of Business ByDesign.
