3275166 - "User" entity configuration > "User Source System" field enabled, but not visible

Symptom

The "User Source System" field is enabled in the Entity Configuration, but not displayed at the user record level ("User Details" tab).

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Learning Administration  > System Administration > Configuration > Entity Configuration >
  2. Set the drop-down to "User" > Verify the "User Source System" field is enabled >
  3. People > Users > Search and access the desired record > "User Details" tab > The "User Source System" field is not available.

Cause

The "activateIASAuthentication" setting is currently false in Learning Administration > System Administration > Configuration > System Configuration > SAP CLOUD IDENTITY SERVICES. With Identity Authentication Services (IAS) authentication deactivated, the system does not meet the prerequisites to show the “User Source System” field.

Resolution

The "User Source System" field will be displayed under the user record only when both of the following conditions are met:

  1. Learning environment is integrated with Identity Authentication Services (IAS) for Learning only users.
    1. Additional details about the Identity Authentication for Learning only users can be found in Setting Up SAP SuccessFactors Learning with Identity Authentication and Identity Provisioning Services and in Learning Native Login End of Maintenance.
  2. "User Source System" field is enabled to be displayed in the "User" entity.
