With the 2H 2022 Release, the "last updated" by source information is now provided on records created or changed using business processes or input channels running on Centralized services.
Last updated by source details are shown for the following records saved using Centralized services:

Job Information
-
Job Relationships
-
Compensation Information
For records saved using a process enabled on Centralized services, the system now shows through which business process the last change was made, for example, imports or transferring direct reports.
For records not saved using a process enabled on Centralized services, the system still shows which user last made changes on which date.

Q: Will the Last Updated by Source Information shown automatically on records?
A: The Last Updated by Source Information will be shown on records created after the 2H 2022 Release if the record was created by a process enabled on Centralized services.
Q: Why is the Last Updated by Source Information being deleted when we create another record?
A: This is an expected behaviour and is caused by a current limitation, in the following scenario:
Last updated source field is sometimes not appearing even if the apparent last edit on the record was performed by transaction executed through centralised services. This occurs when a record is has End Date correction and/or Forward Propagation for transactions executed through a record created via a non-Centralized Services Process. For non-Centralized Services Process, all records touched by this legacy transaction will have their last modified source set to null. This is will automatically be solved when the move to Centralized Services is completely done in the coming releases.

A: The Last Updated by respects the First Name, Middle Name and Last Name on the UDF or General Display Name if enabled.
