3277440 - Error while updating Long Name in SPAD: "No space characters allowed in long names of routers"

For a specific Output Device, the long name has to be updated/created under the "Destination Host" in SPAD.

However, the following error occurs:

• "No space characters allowed in long names of routers"

• SAP GUI all versions
• SAP ABAP Platform all releases
• SAP NetWeaver all releases

Field, Access Method U, Access Method S, Alias Name, Output Device, SPAD, Access Method S, Printer, Printing, Long Host Name, Destination Host, THOST, Alias name must not be longer than 8 character, Message no. PO842, No space characters allowed in long names of routers , KBA , BC-CCM-PRN , Print and Output Management , Known Error
