SAP Knowledge Base Article - Public

3277641 - Texts of nodes are overwritten when using multiple hierarchies into public dimension (GL Account) when loading data to public dimension in SAC

Symptom

When 2 hierarchies both have node XXX with different meanings, this node will always get the text of the last loaded hierarchy.

Environment

  • SAP Analytics Cloud 2022.21.7

Reproducing the Issue

Where the ID number for the nodes in the S/4HANA system also includes the ID, this is abbreviated to only a number by the CDSview, and therefore also in SAC.

Then lead to problem:

  • When loading texts from nodes of the same name from another hierachy (eg XX05), it overwrites the texts. After first loading the texts from hierarchy YY01 the texts change as follows when we load the texts from hierarchy XX05 changes.
  • The extra nodes that hierarchy YY01 has compared to hierarchy BF05 are included in the <root> at XX05.

Conclusion: Nodes xxxx exist in YY01 and not in XX05. They are placed in the XX05 hierarchy in the root.
