Symptom
You are running Inbound Warehouse Request Execution Run, but the Run is not creating Warehouse Request and ending up with errors:
- "Inbound delivery notifications not processed".
- "Conversion failed".
- "Error while creating or updating follow-up document".
Environment
SAP Business ByDesign
Reproducing the Issue
- Navigate to the Inbound Logistics work center.
- Go to the Automated Actions view and select Warehouse Request Runs.
- Select and schedule the relevant active Run.
- Wait for the Job to finish.
- Open the relevant Application Log.
- Go to the Results tab and Expand All.
- You can see the mentioned error messages.
- Also when you try to create the Warehouse Request manually, the system reports similar errors:
- Conversion failed.
- Error while creating or updating follow-up document.
- You cannot save and create the warehouse request. Enter the required data first. For more information, see the subsequent error messages.
Cause
When Inbound delivery notifications are created in the ByD system, their ID is saved in capital letters. You have created the Delivery Notifications with lower case letters and as a result, the document is inconsistent.
Resolution
Please make sure however you create the Delivery Notifications (via add-on or web service) that the ID of the inbound delivery notifications are updated in capital letters and not in small letters.
