3279531 - Error VLMOVE 025 occurs when trying to create batch number for inbound delivery

Symptom

When trying to create a batch number during Inbound Delivery creation time, the system shows the warning message VLMOVE 025 "Batch installation for item XXXXXX not possible, error has occurred".

Cause

Missing Configuration of automatic batch creation for item category ELN.

Resolution

Activate the automatic batch creation for item category ELN with following steps:

  1. Go to configuration activity 102338 - Define Batch Creation Controls in Inbound Deliveries, and set the value for the batch creation to one of the following entries:
    • Batch creation, no classification, SLED check;
    • Batch creation, classification, no SLED;
    • Batch creation, classification, SLED check.

        
  2. Go to configuration activity 102172 - Activate Automatic Batch Determination for Delivery Item Categories, and set a flag in the field 'Auto Batch determin'.
