There are massive Starting serial FILE backup in 1 chunks errors occur repeatedly in the HANA DB traces.
"SAP Note#2962726 - HANA DB generating many catalog backup files" point to large catalog backup size or disk full events, which is not the case in this special case.
Also a housekeeping does not change this behavior.
