The following informational trace entry occurs repeatedly in the SAP HANA database traces:

The trace entry shows the start of a file-based backup with BackupSource: [CATALOG]. No disk-full condition was observed in the reported scenario.

SAP KBA 2962726 - HANA DB generating many catalog backup files describes a scenario in which large catalog backup files cause a disk-full condition. These conditions were not observed in the scenario described in this KBA.

In the reported scenario, backup catalog housekeeping did not change the frequency of the trace entries.
