Symptom

  • SAP system shows frequent connection error -10709, rc=104, via SM21 as follows, even after update to the latest HANA client:
    Connection failed (RTE:[89006] System call 'send' failed, rc=104:Connection reset by peer)
  • HANA system shows no other network error but connection timeout error in indexserver.trc
    (sockfd:1924, part:<not assigned>, remote host:10.xxx.xxx.xxx) session will be closed due to the unexpected exception: exception  1: no.74000001  (api/Communication/Raw/NetworkChannelStream.hpp:141) TID: 425946
        Invalid channel: cannot establish session because the initial communication timeout was reached: timeout=5000, fd=1924
