3281023 - Login Method in Reset User Password/Manage Login Accounts is not the same in the UDF, Employee Data, ...

Symptom

When IAS or Partial-SSO is enabled, the sync between the User Data File/ Reset User Password/ Manage Login Accounts is not the same. In the UDF, the Login Method is PWD, whereas in the Reset User Password & Manage Login Accounts it is showing SSO.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go To Reset User Password
  2. Search for the user with PWD login method
  3. Check that the Login_Method is SSO
  4. But if you go to check the UDF:
    1. Employee Export -> Export User File, check the Login Method is PWD
  5. If you check Manage Login Accounts, the Login Method is PWD or Blank

Resolution

Expected behavior. Since the customer has partial SSO after the IAS implementation, all the configuration is on IAS side, and this field is not updated in the SuccessFactors side. The same behaviour can be seen even if the customer has a 3rd party coporate IDP integrated with their IAS, and the option "Allow users stored in Identity Authentication service to log on" is enabled where the Default Identity Provider is selected as the configured corporate IDP.
