3281025 - SCC: HTTP 500 error when switching to LDAP authentication

Symptom

  • Switch the cloud connector internal user management from File based to LDAP authentication is failing
  • The LDAP user/password authentication test is successful, however when activating the configuration it results in HTTP 500 error
  • The LDAP switch is not completed and it is only possible to logon with Administrator user/password 
  • Checking the cloud connector ljs_trace.log file, below exception can be found:

    #ERROR#com.sap.scc.ui#https-jsse-nio2-8443-exec5#          #Unhandled runtime exception
    com.sap.scc.ui.XmlDocument$XmlDocumentException: Save failed: unable to create /opt/sap/scc/conf/server.xml
    Caused by: java.io.FileNotFoundException: /opt/sap/scc/conf/server.xml (error 13 - Permission denied)
