3281297 - ASSERTION_FAILED dump occurs in the background job /IWFND/METERING_AGG

Symptom

  • The background job /IWFND/METERING_AGG (program /IWFND/R_METERING_AGGREGATE) terminates with the below error:

    Internal session terminated with a runtime error ASSERTION_FAILED (see ST22)
  • ASSERTION_FAILED dumps occur at the below coding location:

Class /IWFND/CL_METERING_DB / Method AGGREGATE_COL_DATA

 UPDATE /iwfnd/l_met_dat
  CLIENT SPECIFIED
  SET aggregated = ls_met_dat-aggregated
       timestamp = ls_met_dat-timestamp
  WHERE mandt = ls_met_dat-mandt
   AND id = ls_met_dat-id.
 ASSERT sy-subrc = 0.
