3281881 - bcp batchsize (-b) parameter is ignored for text or image columns - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • A bcp in with a text or image column will not honor the '-b' (batch size) setting and will reset it to 1
  • When specifying a value > 1 for -b (batch size) value in the bcp command, this message is returned:

    Warning: Batch size adjusted to the value '1'
