3282254 - Product Restriction Maintained In Logistics Area Is Not Applicable to Inventory Adjustment

Symptom

You have maintained some specific products as allowed products for a logistics area, but you can still add the stock of other products into this logistics area through common task New Inventory Adjustment.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to work center Supply Chain Design Master Data.
  2. Open view Locations.
  3. Select location LOC_1 (LOC_1 represents location ID), click Edit Layout.
  4. In the screen "Site Layout: LOC_1", select logistics area LOA_1 (LOA_1 represents logistics area ID).
  5. In the below select tab Restrictions, select sub tab Allowed Products, product ABC (ABC represents product ID) is the only allowed product.
  6. Go to work center Physical Inventory.
  7. Open common task New Inventory Adjustment.
  8. In step 1, select LOC_1 for Storgae Location ID, click Next.
  9. In Step 2, click Add Row, select logistics area LOA_1 in the pop-up window.
  10. Select DEF (DEF represents product ID) for Product ID, maintain Identified Stock ID and Product Actual Quantity, click Next.
  11. In step 3, click Finish.
  12. Open common task Stock Overview, search product DEF in logisticsa area LOA_1, there is on-hand stock just added.

Cause

Allowed product restriction at the Logistics Area is not applicable to inventory adjustment and physical inventory count.

Resolution

The system is working as designed.
