3283104 - Actions Supported by BAdI COD_BADI_SRQ_RENAME_SUMMARY in Service Ticket

Symptom

You would like to understand which actions are supported by the BAdI COD_BADI_SRQ_RENAME_SUMMARY to rename the ticket summary.

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer

Resolution

The BAdI COD_BADI_SRQ_RENAME_SUMMARY is currently used to maintain the name of the summary of service tickets, and supports the renaming only for the action Generate Summary.

For other actions, such as Preview, the system logic is to use the form template name which is maintained in the summary popup, the Ticket ID and the Time Stamp, so the name will be formed following the pattern below:

  • (FORM_TEMPLATE_NAME_+TICKET_ID+TIME_STAMP)

This is the system designed behavior.

If there is a need to open the attachment like a preview, then, the workaround would be to click on the attachment generated and that was added to the specific ticket. When opening the new tab, it will be opened using the name from the BAdI.
