3283665 - Authorization issue in Project Financial Control SSCUIs

Symptom

You get error You are not authorized to use this function after clicking Configure button for the SSCUIs below:

  • 102398 - Create Project Types for WBS Elements
  • 102881 - Define Project Coding Mask
  • 101089 - Set Project Status Area of Project Brief.

Environment

SAP S/4Hana Cloud

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open Manage your Solution App.
  2. Click Configure your Solution.
  3. Search and select the SSCUI ID.
  4. Click on configure button.

In Case you are using SAP Central Business Configuration (CBC):

  1. Log on to the project experience in SAP Central Business Configuration.
  2. In the product-specific configuration phase, navigate to the Configurations Activity tab.
  3. Search for Define Project Coding Mask/Create Project Types for WBS Elements/Set Project Status Area of Project Brief. 
  4. In the Configuration Activities section, select the respective Define Project Coding Mask/Create Project Types for WBS Elements/Set Project Status Area of Project Brief activity.
  5. Choose Go to Activity to navigate directly to the SAP S/4HANA Cloud system.
  6. The following error message is displayed: 'No authorization to start the UI'

Cause

Business catalogs SAP_CA_BC_IC_LND_PS_PFC_PC is not assigned to the user.

Resolution

Update the business role BR_BPC_EXPERT or customized business role copied from template SAP_BR_BPC_EXPERT with business catalog SAP_CA_BC_IC_LND_PS_PFC_PC.
