3284004 - Collection of Configurable Products cannot be added to quote

Symptom

Receiving error: "Unable to add the product. Quote 2.0 supports only simple, configurable and parent/child products" when pressing "Add to Quote" button.

Environment

Type: Test and Productive Systems in Quote 2.0 Engine
Product version: SAP CPQ 2022
System managed by: SAP Cloud Tenant
Sold product: SAP SALES CLOUD CPQ

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create product with display type "Collection of Configurable Products";
  2. In Catalog, try to Configure the item;
  3. When adding it to quote, the error will be displayed.

Cause

"Collection of Configurable Products" is not supported in Quote Engine 2.0.

Resolution

Expected behavior of the application.
