3284823 - OAuth Client does not return access token response, in SAP Analytics Cloud

When making a POST request to OAuth Token URL, the following error messages occur:

• The redirect_uri has an invalid domain.
• Authorization Request Error There was an error. The request for authorization was invalid.

• SAP Analytics Cloud Wave 2022.21.x

1. Create a POST request to the following URL <SAC-Tenant>/oauth/token
2. Under the Authorization tab select the type as OAuth 2.0 and fill out the following fields accordingly: Token Name - <anything you want>, Grant Type - Authorization Code, Callback URL - <SAC-Tenant>/oauth/authorize, Auth URL - <SAC-Tenant>/oauth/authorize, Access Token URL - <SAC-Tenant>/oauth/token, Client ID - <string>, Client Secret - <string>.
3. Click Get New Access Token.
4. Observe the error response as described in the symptom.

There is a mismatch between the grant type of authorization code and the purpose of the OAuth Client created in the App Integration page in SAP Analytics Cloud.

The OAuth Client must have a selected purpose of Interactive Usage and NOT API access.

The former supports a (3 legged) grant type of Authorization Code and the latter supports a (2 legged) grant type of Client Credentials.
