3285059 - Help text for column fields - Compensation

An administrator has the option to add help text descriptions in multiple languages for column fields of a compensation plan.

There is a maximum of 50 fields with help text per template. Though a template can include multiple tabs, for example, Salary, Bonus, and Stock, the maximum is per template, not per tab. 256 characters per help text are the maximum allowed. Also, please note that this is only for the columns in the worksheet, it is not supported for fields such as notes.

You can enable that feature through design worksheet for each field, like seen below:

You can add more languages by clicking on the + sign on the right. Then once this is saved you can launch your worksheet and you will see the help text like this:

The planner opens the worksheet and a "?" Message information icon is shown on the columns. When you hover your mouse over the icon the help text is shown . If multiple language help texts are included, then the planner sees that text when opening the plan in a different language. If no help text is included for a particular language, the default help text is shown. No message information icons are shown if no help text has been added.
