3285143 - Error:Product assignment to the product category not permitted

When you are trying to cancel the Purchase order or  trying to resend the Purchase order for approval

SAP Business ByDesign

Product category has been changed in the product master data and  that new product category is not  check marked for "Product assignment allowed"

 or

The old Category that is in the purchase order is not check marked for "Product assignment allowed"

• Go to Product and Service Portfolio work center
• Go to Product Categories view
• Search for respective product category
• Select the check box - Product Assignment Allowed for Product Categories. 
• Now click on send update button/Cancel button on the purchase order

 Note: Once cancellation is done,you may uncheck "Product assignment allowed" against the old category.
