3286197 - CJK (Chinese/Japanese/Korean) characters or custom (user) fonts are not displayed correctly in Web Intelligence charts when exporting to Excel or PDF in SAP BusinessObjects 4.3 Support Pack 02 or later version

Symptom

  • In exported Excel or PDF file, chart titles, labels or legends with CJK (Chinese/Japanese/Korean) characters or custom (user) fonts are not shown correctly.
  • Instead of the Asian characters an empty square box character is shown in the charts.
  • Instead of the custom fonts a fallback font is used in the charts.
