3286288 - Subsection/block is not being shown in Employee Profile

Symptom

A subsection / block was added in Configure People Profile but it is not visible in Employee Profile.

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central
  • SAP SuccessFactors Employee Profile

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Configure People Profile;
  2. Add a subsection/block;
  3. Save;
  4. Go to Employee Profile;
  5. Subsection/block which was just added is not visible in Employee Profile.

Cause

"Employee Views" permission for the element is not enabled so the subsection/block is not being shown in Employee Profile.

Resolution

  1. Go to Manage Permission Roles;
  2. Search for the Role Name you want to grant access. E.g.: Super_Admin;
  3. Click on "Permission..." > Employee Views;
  4. Check the boxes of the elements you want to enable in UI > Save.

Note: if "Exclude granted users from having the same access to themselves" is selected then the granted user will not see the section.
