3287733 - Enabling Web Notification for Succession Planners for Manager Changes not working

Symptom

After a Change in Manager event is triggered via a change in Job Information, Succession Planners are not receiving a Web Notification to review the Succession Plan.

  • SAP SuccessFactors Succession Management
  • SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

Cause

If the Succession Planner is not receiving the Web Notification, it is most likely caused by the OnPostSave Business Rule for a Manager Change is not configured in the Job Information Portlet.

Resolution

In addition to having Enable smart suite notification for succession planners enabled in the Succession Settings, the following OnPostSave rule must be configured under the Trigger Rules in the Job Information Portlet

  • EVENT_MNGRCHG (SAP_EVENT_MNGRCHG)
