Symptom
You would like to know the logic behind 'My Tasks' / 'My Open Tasks' or 'My Team's Tasks' queries of the Tasks work center view of the Activities work center.
Environment
SAP Cloud for Customer
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to the Activities work center.
- Open the Tasks work center view.
- Select My Tasks / My Open Tasks or My Team's Tasks query.
You wonder the logic running behind the results displayed.
Resolution
'My Tasks' query will display all tasks where the logged in user is assigned either as Owner, Processor or is an Involved Party (except created by).
'My Open Tasks' is the same criteria as 'My Tasks' but considering only those with 'Open' status.
'My Team's Tasks' query consider org units of Owner, Processor and Involved Parties. If the employee, who is the owner/processor or assigned as involved party of the task belongs to the org unit of the logged in manager or employee, or the logged in manager is manager of a parent org unit, the related task is displayed in the 'My Team's Task' query. Also, it displays tasks of all employee IDs which belong to the Org unit of logged in user.
